Beginner to Advanced Level Students

Join us for an exciting weekend of experimentation of surface design on paper vessels. Barbara De Pirro will start the weekend with an evening lecture on applications of Golden products. The next two days workshop participants will first learn how to construct Òquick vesselsÓ using basketry techniques. The vessels will then be covered with mulberry papers using acrylic mediums as an adhesive. Once dry, the fun begins as we experiment with various surface design applications discussed by Barbara De Pirro. (Students can also bring baskets that they have made or purchased to experiment on.) Vessels will then be further embellished and personalized. Contemporary basket makers and their work will be reviewed. Open to beginners to advanced. Good class for art instructors and artists in all media.
